A team from Transcend Corporate, led by Partner Ian Aldridge, has advised on the sale of Snail Mail Limited (“Snail Mail”) and its subsidiary, FP Southern Limited (“FP Southern”), a privately owned business, to Francotyp-Postalia Ltd, the UK subsidiary of German listed Francotyp-Postalia Holdings AG (“Francotyp-Postalia”).
FP Southern based in Reading supplies FP mailroom equipment to companies across the UK. The sale was part of a restructuring of the original business, which continues to trade under the “International Mailing Systems Ltd” name.
Francotyp-Postalia provides multi-channel solutions for mail communication in Germany and internationally. It manufactures and services franking and inserting machines, and provides folding systems, print outsourcing services, as well as franking machine software for managing master data.
