Transcend Corporate, the Thames Valley and Birmingham based corporate finance advisers, is pleased to announce the acquisition of Ultracomms by Unified Comms, Contact Centre and Cyber Solutions provider Babble, a business backed by private equity firm Graphite Capital. Transcend Corporate, led by partner Steve Bartlett acted as lead adviser to Babble.
The acquisition has doubled the size of Babble Contact – experts in enabling organisations to deploy the best technology to create great customer experiences and drive conversational profitability – putting it firmly on course to continue its leadership in CCaaS.
The deal continues Babble’s rapid buy and build strategy, which has been complemented by robust organic growth over the last 12 months. It is the first acquisition following the investment by Graphite Capital at the end of 2020, valuing the business at £90 million.
Matt Parker, Chief Executive of Babble, said: “This year we will continue to acquire innovative and resilient businesses that are making an impact in the market, both to grow the capabilities we can provide to our customers and to fill our business with the best people in the industry. We have another five acquisitions in the pipeline in the next six months, and we’re on track to double our EBITDA run rate to £20m by November 2021.”
Derwyn Jones, CEO at UItracomms, said: “We are delighted to announce that Ultracomms is now part of Babble. A progressive and ambitious business such as Babble has the capabilities to continue to provide our customers with the technology and expertise they require to further enhance their customer experience.”
Transcend Corporate partner, Steve Bartlett, commented: “We are delighted to have been able to help Matt and the team at Babble with this significant acquisition. Bringing these two businesses together will allow Babble to continue on its impressive growth path in delivering cloud based solutions.
Matt Parker commented: “I have been very pleased with the support and advice provided by Steve. His guidance through the course of the transaction helped us bring it to a successful conclusion, and we are delighted with this acquisition. It’s yet another step in our continued successful growth story of Babble.”
